Non-combatents go to war

Local Forces, Guerrillas and Freedom fighters

Over the years I have run a few games that called for Student groups, Street gang etc fighting it out.
To deal with forces that may at onetime have no military training. I came up with this

*For every 10 years the country has been in turmoil add +1 extra grade

Exp. Derek is from the city, he rolls D100/2 for his skill with the AK-47 and comes up with 45. 45/2 22.2 rounded down to 22%, He then rolls a 8 and gets +1 extra grade, the country has been in full scale turmoil for 15 years, so add another +1 grade. He's not the best shot with the AK but he has survived on the streets this far with no formal military training.

Skills,
Knowledge of area Countryside, Rural or City (automatic)
Streetwise Rural or City (automatic)
Detect Dangerous Animals Countryside (automatic) or Rural 5+ D10
Detect Ambush
Countryside, Rural (automatic) or City 8+ D10
Fighting Knife
Countryside, Rural or City 5+ D10
Tracking, basic
Countryside 4+ D10, Rural 6+ D10
Shadowing
Rural or City 5+ D10

Notes-

  • Skills are rolled as with Recon. Fuzion is level 2
  • Add/remove skills as your scenario/campaign desires
  • Student groups -2, Street gangs/Criminal groups +1

Exp. Derek gains Knowlege of area (Port Smallville) Streetwise (Port Smallville) rolls a 6 and does not get Detect Ambush, rolls a 7 and get Knife Fighting. His last roll is 5, so he gets Shadowing

    Derek
    AK-47 32% to hit
    Knowlege of area(Port Smallville)
    Streetwise (Port Smallville)
    Knife Fighting
    Shadowing
